I'm a controls engineer, maker, and innovator with a passion for robotics, automation, and dynamic systems. This space is where I document my journey by sharing projects, research, and hands-on experiments in engineering. My Engineering Journey

First Robotics Competition (FRC) 

Tiger Robotics, 7228

Co-founded our high school's first robotics club and competed in First Robotic Competition (FRC). Responsible from mechanical design, and club member training.   

TUBITAK Biology Research

My first serious research project

5+ year journey on researching how magnetism effects bean plant growth. Built an automated germination machine to regulate moisture, temperature and magnetic field duration.

University of Wisconsin-Madison

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering 
Moved from Istanbul, Turkey to Wisconsin, USA and studied mechanical engineering. I focused on control related courses and certification in manufacturing engineering.

Underwater Drone Competition

First comprehensive drone design

Mentored a group of students to partake in an underwater drone design competition. From propellers to chassis, everything was designed and manufactured custom. 

Covid-Bot Project

Fighting Covid one robot at a time...

Working with a group of students to design and build an automated air filtering and sanitation robot for a school environment.

My first on-site engineering job where I installed HVAC units to commercial and residential buildings. Lots of hands on experience and customer relation management.

Gear Reducer Design Project

From gear design, fatigue to manufacturability

For a small motorcycle gear reducer, our team created comprehensive reports and calculations on how static loads, stress, fatigue, shaft and gears where considered for design.  

Researching how plastic waste accumulates in great waters

Experimental motion capture of plastic particles in a surface wave tunnel to understand underlying principles between wave and particle interactions. Using slightly denser plastic particles than water, we observed how particles settle to the bottom and accumulate.
